Rod Colon’s homework task in the ETP coaching wall calendar for February was to attend 1 networking event in your industry and attend 1 event outside your industry. This allows you to develop a more rounded knowledge pool of people, while positioning yourself to be a networking connector of influence.

Out of their industry, 3 Empowering Today’s Professionals members attended the Black and  Latino Legislative Caucus in Albany, NY.  With Ambassador Andrew Young as the keynote speaker, ETP members and entrepreneurs Phyllis Shelton (iPower
Global Solutions – public relations / event production), Tony Colon (Technologic Solutions – linguistic interpreter / business management) and ETP Chief Operations Officer, Carl E. Reid (Savvy Intrapreneur – career coaching / social media) stepped out of their industry comfort zones to attend THE event of the year where New York state legislators meet with all their constiuents.

Networking Results:  Between attending the career expo and various meetings, Phyllis, Tony and Carl connected with various resources requiring follow up, including 1 potential funding source for Empowering Today’s Professionals.

For a limited time you can submit a complimentary (free) application for Basic Membership with Empowering Today’s Professionals. If time is critical, save time with Professional Membership as the recommended level PROVEN to get INTERVIEWS quicker.
